Do you need to supply my energy?

No - you will benefit from the system no matter who your energy supplier is.

The biggest saving the system provides is the self consumption aspect which is the energy produced by your panels and used for free within your property. Only energy recorded through the meters will be charged for by your energy supplier.

In order to receive grid balancing credits you will need to sign up via the Social Energy app. This triggers the AI in the Social Energy hub to begin controlling the battery to make the most of your generation. We have seen from the majority of our customers that their savings are greatly increased through the Social Energy AI and grid service payments.
