Why is my tariff changing?
Over the past few months, the price that we pay to supply your energy has been gradually increasing.
We’ve held off from making any changes, but we will now be slightly increasing the price that you pay for energy. While we know isn’t good news, we are confident we’ve done everything in our power to minimise the impact that this will have on your bill.
You may have seen that several other suppliers have increased their prices in recent weeks for similar reasons. We're still cheaper than most, but the change we’re letting you know about today will ensure we’re here for the long term and are able to offer you all the potential savings and credits from your solar and battery system.
Why have the costs that you pay for energy increased?
Since April, the price that we pay for energy has increased by over 30 per cent. What’s more, the costs associated with supplying energy (e.g. transporting energy, connecting to the grid and maintaining the network, etc.) have also increased.
There are a number of variables associated with the increase in costs - all of which are beyond our control at this time.
We're always looking to keep our prices as competitive as possible. If prices come back down, we'll look at reducing your tariff.
How is my tariff changing?
From 1st November, the unit price that we charge for electricity and gas is changing. The specifics on exactly how your bill will change have been included in the email that you have recently received.
Is there anything I can do about my tariff changing?
We’ll let you know if any cheaper tariffs become available to you – this will be clearly marked on your bill. It’s important to note that choosing a new tariff could result in a change to your terms and conditions.
We continue to offer zero exit fees that we offer on all our tariffs, so you have the flexibility to choose the right energy supplier for you.
It’s worth remembering that we’re still the only supplier that can pass on all the savings that you can generate from your solar and battery system.
Are you using this price change to make more money?
The tariff changes that we have announced are as a result of an increase in the price that we pay for the energy we supply to you. We are not using this as an opportunity to make more money from our customers.
