To join us, your meter needs to have a credit meter.
Credit meter means a meter that does not have to be topped up in advance for the supply to be made and includes a smart meter in credit mode. We aim to supply SMART meters to all our customers in the future.
If you wish to change your current meter type to be able to join us, you will need to arrange this with your existing provider before we can accept your Application.
Although we cannot make it a condition of the Contract that you have, or allow us to install for you, a Smart Meter at your Address, our service is designed to work better with a Smart Meter.
Important to note
If you have a traditional meter, or a non-communicative smart meter, we will need you to submit a meter reading via the app each month (this will be automatic with a Smart Meter).
We’ll remind you when you need to do this.
Without a monthly reading you won’t be eligible to receive your Social Energy Hub savings.
